I know it's different when it comes to elements like "P"hosphorus, because the fertilizers products say "P" but it's really P2O5, not elemental Phosphorus, so there's additional calculations. It takes the guaranteed minimum analysis of a particular fertilizer's contents and does the atomic or molecular weight calculations to arrive at the elemental ppm of each element for a given input amount.Įg: enter 1.6g per gallon of Calcium Nitrate, and it tells you that is 65.5ppm of Nitrogen, and 80.3ppm of Calcium per gallon. And not too long ago I had a decent idea or understanding of how it worked out. I usually use a spreadsheet calculator for elemental ppm of the common fertilizer inputs elements (there are online versions, like this one: Manic Botanix | Hydroponic Calculators). I'm wanting to know how many elemental ppm of Sulfur there are in a given amount (in grams, for example) of Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM)? Please correct any of my errors, I'm a newb. And since my question doesn't seem too technical, and I'm not sure exactly where I would post it, I'll ask it here first. I see that some newbs post their question(s) directly here in the introduction subforum. I actually went to edit the post but took longer than 60minutes (trying to figure it out myself).
